Visit Blair Athol Distillery

Blair Athol Distillery stands at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Perthshire. From the water of the Allt Dour burn comes our 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, with a mellow deep-toned aroma, a strong fruity flavour and a smooth finish. Blair Athol wins hearts through its contribution to the Bell's Blend, one of the most popular blended whiskies in the UK.

Visit Scotland 4 Star Visitor Attraction

We invite you to visit us for a distillery tour and see how we make our uisge beatha from golden malted barley, water and yeast, distilled in our traditional copper pot stills and matured in oak casks where the Angels Share is lost to evaporation during the maturation process. Relax and enjoy a dram in our well stocked shop.

Pitlochry offers everything to the visitor with attractions such as Pitlochry Festival Theatre, The Dam and Fish Ladder, Moulin Brewery and Blair Castle close by. Enjoy a short walk past the Black Spout to Edradour or a spot of fishing in our beautiful lochs and rivers. Ben y Vrackie is a must for the hillclimbers and walkers or enjoy a round of Golf at Pitlochry Golf course . Major events are hosted locally including Etape Caledonia, an annual road cycle race as well as Enchanted Forest, Blair Athol Horse Trials, Highland Games and our famous New Year Street Party. Not to be missed are the beautiful scenic views at Killiecrankie and Queen’s View. A short drive away on the A9 brings you to House of Bruar, Dalwhinnnie Distillery, the Cairngorm National Park and the Perthshire Visitor Centre while the nearby towns of Dunkeld and Aberfedy are also well worth a visit to see historical Dunkeld Cathedral and Dewars Distillery. With a variety of accommodation choices from cosy Bed and Breakfasts to Guest Houses and hotels there is something to suit everyone here in Scotland’s heartland.
