What's on at Oban Distillery? 

New Sensory & Flavour Finding Tour  2008

This year Oban distillery is offering  a new flavours tour where visitors to the distillery will explore exactly what happens in the process to produce Oban single malt's unique spirit character.

Together with a knowledgeable guide the visitor will explore each part of the whisky making process, to discover which flavours come from which parts of the process.

During the tour visitors will be able to nose our new make spirit, and be given the oppertunity to try some cask strength Oban straight from the cask. Visitors will also be invited to try our Oban 14 year old West Highland malt along with a piece of crystallised ginger, a true taste sensation !

Our guests will also be given a small momento from the distillery to remind them of their visit.

Making every visit to the distillery a truly memorable experience.

Classic Malts Cruise 12th-25th July 2008

The opening event for this years Classic Malts Cruise will take place at Oban Distillery on 12th July 08. This will be followed by a Parade of Sail around Oban Bay on Sunday 13th July 08 at approx 11 a.m. Members of the public are invited to come along to the North Pier on Sunday to join in and enjoy the spectacle. The Cruise which has become one of the most popular events in Scotland's Sailing Diary offers participants a variety of  hospitality  provided by the distilleries of Oban, Talisker, and Lagavulin.
