Oban Distillery Tours & Prices

Nestling beneath the steep cliff that overlooks Oban, one of Scotland's oldest sources of single malt scotch whisky is but a stone's throw from the sea.
Take a tour of the senses at Oban Distillery! You will be taken around the distillery by one of our knowledgeable guides exploring each part of the whisky making process. Your tour will finish with a sample of our Oban 14 year old single malt with some crystalised ginger – a taste sensation! To round off nicely you will be given a small memento to remind you of your visit to Oban Distillery.

Enjoy a guided tour with one of our knowledgeable guides. Experience the malt whisky making process close at hand, and learn the secrets which make Oban Malt whisky taste totally unique. There will be numerous experiences throughout the tour to stimulate your senses including a sample of Oban malt direct from the cask and an opportunity to sample Oban Malt whisky with food. This is a true taste sensation.

Our sensory and flavour finding tour lasts approx one hour. Those taking the guided tour will also be presented with a beautiful whisky related gift to take home providing a lasting memory of your trip around Oban distillery. We look forward too welcoming you!

Exclusive Distillery Tour (over 18’s only)

£40 per person – Duration of tour approx. 2 hours

April – June: Wednesday & Friday 14.00, July – Sept: Monday-Friday 16.00

This tour includes access to the warehouse and a vertical tasting in the Distillery Managers Office.

Tours are available throughout the day. The last tour leaves 1 hour and 15 mins before closing.

Group bookings are advisable. In winter tours are limited it is advisable to book tours in advance.

Coaches are welcome but booking ahead is always advisable.

For health & safety reasons, children under 8 years old are not permitted in the production areas of the distillery.

Disabled persons including those with guide dogs and other assistance dogs are welcome at our 12 distillery visitor centres.

We will make reasonable adjustments to the distillery visitor tour that we offer at each visitor centre to ensure that disabled persons including those with guide dogs or other assistance dogs have a positive visitor experience and, above all else, remain safe.

The unique layout of each distillery location and visitor centre means that the reasonable adjustments we make at each distillery may vary.

If you are a guide dog assisted person we ask you to book your visit in advance highlighting your specific requirements so that we can endeavour to deliver a positive visitor experience.
